'Blud Shot Eyes' was born from a call-and-response collaboration between a visual artist and DJ TR!P.

Initially, the graphic artist responded to DJ TR!P's Instagram posts, inspired by the colour scheme. She then painted a picture of a naked woman draped in colour and cloth, the subject adorned with a single drop of blood on her cheek as a teardrop.

His inspiration was to compose two contrasting songs around this painted female figure, firstly 'Blud Shot Eyez' and secondly 'Poison Doesn't Kill Me', the latter being released on November 1st 2021.

This release harks heavily back to the golden era of Trip Hop, inspired by artists such as DJ Shadow, Tricky and UNKLE.
